The ski cap has a cabled brim that goes around the entire brim of the hat. The scarf is done in an open work lacey pattern. It is perfect for either a boy or girl. It is done in worsted weight yarn which should make it warm for the upcoming winter.
This is a pattern that fits size 6 mos to 1 yr. The brim of the cap measure 17" around. The scarf is 4" by 26". The scarf can be done in any length that is desired. I did it this length so that it can be overlapped and tucked into a jacket. I don't like to knot anything around a babies neck.
